Still holding out for your invite to Harry and Meghan’s wedding do? Well, this might be the next best thing. Enter this ballot and you could be in with a chance of heading to good ol’ Queen Liz’s birthday bash. Well, kind of. The online ballot to get seated tickets to the Official Queen’s Birthday Parade in June closes tomorrow. It’s the only way for the public to get a seated slice of the occasion and it’ll be £35 for the privilege.

Unfortunately, it’s not her real-life birthday (that’s in April), so you won’t get to see Her Maj blowing out birthday candles or Prince Phil tooting on a party horn. But successful entrants will get an eyeful of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards as they Troop the Colour in the presence of Liz Windsor on June 9. More than 1,600 soldiers will take part in the procession, along with 400 musicians from the Massed Bands.

If you’re not successful, but still determined to bag a Royal invite, standing tickets go on sale on March 2 for the pauper-friendly price of £2.

The ballot for seated tickets to the Official Queen’s Birthday parade ends on March 1. Successful entrants will be notified in March. Seated tickets are £35 each.
