Garage girls and boys of London, founding father of the UK scene, DJ Spoony has joined forces with the 36-piece Ignition Orchestra to bring you a night of UK garage unlike any other.

On July 21st, the Barbican will host Garage Classical, which, as the name suggests, involves UKG getting a classical rewind. Spoony, curator and host, worked alongside composer and conductor Katie Chatburn to put together a definitive list of the most iconic tunes, to be stripped back and performed live with the original vocalists and MCs.

That's right, we're expecting a whole orchestra dressed head-to-toe in Moschino and obscene Versace prints, blasting out all your favourites: ‘Do You Really Like It?’, ‘Please Don’t Turn Me On’ and, lest we forget, ‘Crazy Love’.

Hold tight, tickets go on sale on to Barbican members on Thursday February 8th and on general sale on Friday 9th February from here.

See you there. Bo conductor.
