London early May Bank Holiday Weekend 2026 weather forecast day by day
Saturday May 2
At time of writing, the Met Office reckons Saturday will be the best day weather-wise across the long weekend. The forecast is sunny in the morning, becoming cloudy with intervals of sunshine from midday, with highs of 22C. The chance of rain is lowest in the morning, rising to forty percent from 5pm into the evening, so if you’re planning a long walk in the great outdoors, Saturday morning might be the time to squeeze it in.
Sunday May 3
Sunday (May 3) looks like it’ll be a soggy one. The forecast is more overcast than Saturday, with a sixty percent chance of rain throughout the day, dropping to thirty percent by 9pm. It’ll also be cooler than the day before, with highs of 18C.
Monday May 4
As for Monday (May 4), again it’s likely to be overcast. The temperature in London is estimated to be 18C at its peak again. However, every cloud needs a silver lining (get it), and we can say that the likelihood of rain will be lower on Bank Holiday Monday. Currently, the chance of precipitation will reach forty percent between 2pm and 7pm, but otherwise remains pretty low.
