If you’re looking for a cosy new cinema to chow down on popcorn and lounge the autumn evenings away in, look no further.

Electric Cinema is opening a new venue on October 28 in White City – and it’s located in the former home of the BBC at Television Centre.

The West London cinema will resemble its sister site in Portobello, treating film fans to mohair armchairs, cashmere blankets and footstools. The bar will serve drinks and pick 'n' mix to snack on, while artwork inspired by the building's history will line the walls.

So far, so fancy. The opening week will host screenings of ‘Joker’, ‘Judy’, and ‘Hustlers’ – alongside other hotly anticipated releases – as well as Kids Club screenings and curated Sunday matinees.

Now watching a movie here will set you back a bit – tickets are £20 – but Mondays are cheaper and during the opening week (Oct 28 - Nov 1) you can settle back in one of those plush seats for half the price.

Electric Cinema White City is at 2 Television Centre, W12 7FR. Find out more here
