1. Head to the Science Museum after-hours to battle bugs and explore the world of bacteria at this Superbugs late in conjunction with the exhibition 'Superbugs: The Fight for Our Lives'. Use VR to shrink and explore the hidden secrets of bacteria or get hands on with objects from the Science Museum’s collection. It's free and drop-in from 6:45pm. Some events may be ticketed.

2. Made London is back with another huge range of beautiful and original craft and design products. The fair allows buyers to meet the people who do the creating, and this year more than 100 artists, makers and designers will be showing their wares. Entry is free from 11am at East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf.

3. Pay visit to the Baileys Book Bar, which has popped up at the Waterstones on Gower Street to coincide with the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2018. Leaf through the books of the shortlistees with a liqueur cocktail in hand.
