Mother’s Day is fast approaching, which means it’s time to start thinking about how to show your mum how much you appreciate her for putting up with you for the other 364 days of the year. However, if she’s tired of all those flowers, chocolates and cards you no doubt shower her with most weeks, how about taking her to the UK’s highest cinema?

The Extraordinary Travelling Film Show is known for hosting pop-up screenings at delightfully unusual venues, such as National Trust and English Heritage properties and beaches. This time, for a special Mother’s Day screening, movie-lovers will be able to see the Oscar-winning ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ on March 20 at the top of The Shard. Not only will you be able to take in 360-degree views of the capital at 800 feet up, but you’ll also get a complimentary glass of fizz and fresh popcorn before settling in to watch the Freddie Mercury musical. You’ll definitely be able to see a little silhouetto of a man from up there.

This Mother’s Day pop-up is perfect for anyone wanting to give their ma a unique and magical experience. Most importantly, your siblings will never be able to top it – literally.

The Extraordinary Travelling Film Show’s screening of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will be held at The View from The Shard, Joiner St, SE1 9QU. Mar 20. Tickets are £45.
