Halloween Ball at The Mansion
Time Out says
This is a really curious night – apt for the wacky season – and organisers Mansion London have thrown everything at this party. Previous parties have been sleek, sexy affairs but get this: not only is there live didjeridoo and bongo playing but also tarot card reading, flamenco singing, Sinatra crooning, cage dancing, fire shows, two dancefloors - one for electro, the other r’n’b -and screenings of vintage horror movies. It sounds bizarre but you wouldn’t really want anything else for Halloween. Fancy dress is mandatory.

Witnessed multiple low-class scumbags sexually assaulting women with no consequences, leaving friends or sometimes just the victim to defend against them. Most (not all) of the security staff didn't seem to care even when notified and looked unenthusiastic to begin with. The place was a dirty old warehouse, which would have been fine if it was advertised appropriately. The media associated with this event suggested it would be classier, but it was really trashy.
The DJ was good.
I went to this party in October 2018. Even though the location is cool, overall I found the organisation truly horrible. The tickets we bought online didn't scan and we had to wait for 30 min at the entrance before a manager came and let us in (as the tickets were valid). The door man / bouncer (Spanish accent) was extremely rude and aggressive. I have never experienced such an aggressive bouncer in my life before. He dragged girls out by grabbing them on their arms (I was shocked!). Last but not least they say they have a Pop-Music Room. However, the DJ played HipHop all night which for me was the worst part of the whole experience. It is funny as they also had a separate RnB and HipHop room where exactly the same music was played as in the Pop-Room. I would never ever go to this party again.
A total waste of a night and a total waste of money. Organisers are clearly happy to charge a lot for tickets and drinks but not deliver on what was promised for the event. Service was awful - waiting an hour at the bar to buy a drink really kills the vibe. Poor organisation and clearly everything was done on a tight budget to increase their profit as much as possible - this event was a total scam!
Possibly the biggest rip off ever ! Sold out event but 4 bar staff over an hr to get a drink ! Making a killing on ticket prices but don't give a shit about you when your in ! Simply avoid there parties seriously bad organization !
I wouldnt even bother giving this event 1 star but timeout dont accept no stars. This night was a massive disappointment and I definitely wont waste my money on it again. For the price of the tickets the service was awful: extremely rude bouncers who were aggressive for no reason, understaffed bars meant it took 40 mins to order a drink, drinks were ridiculously overpriced (£4 for a small bottle of water, £40 for some cheap bottle of white wine), extremely poor effort in making the venue look good for the event. This night was a complete scam! I tried to leave feedback on the facebook event page but the admin are only approving good reviews. Photos from previous years look great but this year definitely didnt match up! Will not be bothering with the mansion ever again!
The worst event ive ever attended! Avoid!!! Drinks were extortionate and they had cheap foreign vodka which probably cost about £3 a bottle. None of the drinks are real, all cheap knock offs including the beer. Half of the entertainment adverised was not there and their customer service is a shambles.
Hi Amelia, I highly recommend Mansion parties because of the unique crowd, atmosphere and entertainment. Better than going to a club which honestly have got boring now!
I've been to parties organised by the mansion before. They are always a lot of fun. Last Halloween was amazing. Looking forward to this year's ;)
Hey I was interested to know if anyone has been to a Mansion Party before? It sounds fabulous but I can't find any reviews online or there Facebook page. Any replies would be brilliant. Thanks
