The Islington branch of the Soho karaoke bar.

This is the Islington branch of the original Lucky Voice in Soho. Nine private ‘pods’ allow groups of four to 12 people to belt out a classic without any fear of embarrassment. Pizza and nibbles are basic, but the drinks menu is extensive: cocktails dominate, and there are wines and spirits by both the glass and the bottle to loosen the vocal cords and inhibitions.

Lucky Voice Islington is a place where they have everything you need for the perfect fun-filled night out: great cocktails, impressive song repertoire and funny props. It's a little bit dark for my taste (every wall is black, the lights are dim in general), but had a good time overall.

What a cracking spot! Some friends and I were celebrating a birthday and decided to head to Lucky Voice in Islington. We were extremely lucky in that we got a last minute spot but I wouldn't recommend taking that risk as it gets booked out pretty quickly and you'll likely miss out.

The premise is simple, a private karaoke booth where you can order drinks at the touch of a button. Convenient AND face saving if you're a fan of belting out Meatloaf's 'like a bat outta hell' but other people aren't... aside from your friends who have no choice.

They have props to add to your performance which facilitates you really getting into it. A word to the wise however is that it can get quite sweaty in there so wear layers and take some hydration breaks.

After we left the booth we stuck around for a few drinks and, although we left soon after, it was good to see the DJ setting up so we knew this could be a potential 'go to' place later on in the night.

If you're about for a drink and a sing song Lucky Voice Karaoke is the place for you. I went in for the Phil Collins drink which proved a little too sweet for my tastebuds. If you're a pizza fan then you're in luck - there wasn't much foodwise to choose from so left in a hungry state. The venue is great and the decor offers a nice vibe !

Lucky Voice Karaoke offers up a fairly authentic Karaoke experience in that you and your mates can sing the night away in the privacy of your own 'pod'. You can even order drinks from the pod at the touch of a button, and if cocktails are your thing you're in luck as they're their thing too, and they do them rather well! I have tagged along to a few nights here and it is always good fun. There do tend to be plenty of offers available so it's worth scoping these out prior to booking prior to booking.

Who doesn't like a bit of karaoke? It's hard to find a place which is wheelchair accessible, but to my delight, this one in Angel is. Staff are friendly and quick with their service without disrupting you. You get your own private room to sing to your hearts content. They have a wide selection of songs and even all the latest ones. There's even percussion instruments, wigs, hats and accessories to play it up and get everyone in the mood. Great for a night out with a group of friends.
