This is the final concert in a series of events with Thomas Adès and a chance to see/hear Adès and his music in a chamber setting. In an exploration of contemporary classical and world music for the harp, Adès conducts the London Sinfonietta, with kora player Tunde Jegede, soprano Allison Bell and harpist Helen Tunstall. Luciano Berio's Chamber Music; Per Norgard's Harp Concerto No 2 (Gennem torne) – UK premiere; Thomas Adès's 'The Origin of the Harp'; and Gerald Barry's Feldman's 'Sixpenny Editions' (world premiere). Traditional Kora music is performed between the works in the programme.
