To kick-off the Grainger festival a recital combining classical and folk, original compositions and early music in unexpected arrangements. Guildhall Recorder Ensemble directed by Ian Wilson plays Grainger's 'Alleluia Psallat'; 'Beata Viscera'; 'Country Gardens'; and 'Tiger, Tiger'. Then, Guildhall Saxophone Ensemble directed by Christian Forshaw performs Grainger's 'The Immovable Do '; Le Jeune arr Grainger 'La Bel'aronde'; and Ferrabosco arr Grainger 'The Four Note Pavan'.
