Leading British mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly heads stateside with Aaron Copland’s ‘Eight Poems of Emily Dickinson’. Britten Sinfonia directed by Jacqueline Shave also plays his ballet ‘Appalachian Spring’, plus Eliot Carter’s ‘Elegy for Strings’, Ruth Crawford Seeger’s ‘Andante for Strings’, and adopted New Yorker Richard Rodney Bennett’s ‘A History of the Thé Dansant’.
