Counterpoise (violinist Alexandra Wood, trumpeter Deborah Calland, saxophonist Kyle Horch and pianist Iain Farrington), with narrators Eleanor Bron and John Savournin) performs HK Gruber's 'Expulsion from Paradise' (arr Iain Farrington); Walton's 'Façade' (arr Iain Farrington); and Edward Rushton's 'Pandora, Organic Machine'. (The works reflect a sense of the malaise in modern society, from the decadence of the Jazz Age in 'Façade' and continuing in the dystopian vision of the'Expulsion from Paradise' and the corruption of values in 'Pandora'.)
