Despair and Passion: Louis Andriessen's Anais Nin

The London Sinfonietta under David Atherton, with soprano Cristina Zavalloni and the Synergy Vocals chorus celebrate the work of contemporary Dutch composer Louis Andriessen. They perform the UK premiere of Andriessen's 'Anais Nin' for singer, ensemble and film; and 'De Staat', a large-scale work influenced by the energy of big band music and minimalistic rhythms.
