Exploring 'The Planets'

Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Voices under Esa-Pekka Salonen, with Paul Rissmann (presenter). A two-part concert, beginning with an exploration of Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' and specially commissioned complementary work, Joby Talbot's 'Worlds, Stars, Systems, Infinity' with large-screen projection, musical demonstrations and interviews. Then, a performance of Gustav Holst's orchestral suite 'The Planets', followed by the world premiere of , Joby Talbot's 'Worlds, Stars, Systems, Infinity'. (Not suitable for children under the age of six. Runs two hours 15 minutes, including interval.)
