The Choir of the Enlightenment and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under Laurence Cummings performs Handel's 'Judas Maccabaeus'. With tenor John Mark Ainsley (Judas Maccabaeus), baritone Christopher Purves (Simon/Eupolemus), soprano Rosemary Joshua (Israelitish Woman), mezzo-soprano Christine Rice mezzo-soprano (Israelitish Man) and countertenor Tim Mead (Israelitish messenger/Israelitish priest). (Note: at 5.45pm, there is a Proms Plus event at the Royal College of Music.)
