A new season of Harmonic Series begins with a concert conceived as a meditation on Jonathan Harvey's greatest intimate and electro-acoustic chamber works: the Fourth String Quartet with electronics. Plus, Mark Simpson gives the UK premiere of 'Cirrus Light', and David Sheppard diffuses 'Mortuous Plango et Vivos Voco'. A sculptural installation by artist Flora Robertson, and bespoke lighting design, respond to the music and modify the space. (The perfromers are Mark Simpson clarinetDavid Sheppard, electronics, Oliver Coates, cello, Alexandra Wood, violin, Marcus Barcham-Stevens, violin, and Max Baillie, viola.)
