The Proms goes to the movies with John Wilson and his Orchestra in a celebration of the Golden Age of Hollywood film musicals. Featuring singers Annalene Beechey, Charles Castronovo, Matthew Ford, Sarah Fox, Caroline O'Connor and Clare Teal. (Note: at 1pm and 5.45pm there are Proms Plus events at the Royal College of Music. At 1pm instrumentalists aged 7 or over are invited to join professional musicians and musical families for a taste of Hollywood. Then, at 5.45pm, tonight's conductor John Wilson explores the themes of tonight's Prom and the unique partnership of song and dance during the Golden Age of film musicals. Presented by Louise Fryer.)
