The pianist Stephen Hough plays Beethoven's Piano Sonata No 14 in C sharp minor, Op.27 No 2 ('Moonlight'); the world premiere of Hough's Sonata for Piano ('broken branches'); Scriabin's Piano Sonata No 4 in F sharp, Op 30; Piano Sonata No 5 in F sharp, Op 53; and Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor, S178. (Note: following the concert Jessica Duchen interviews Stephen Hough about his life, work and music. Plus, a world premiere performance of Hough's 'Other Love Songs' cycle by The Prince Consort.
