Time Out says

The London Symphony Orchestra under Ernst van Tiel gives four live performances of the soundtrack to the highly-acclaimed silent film 'The Artist' playing the soundtrack simultaneously with a high-definition screening of the film. The soundtrack was composed by Ludovic Bource; the film was written and directed by Michael Hazanavicius and stars Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo.

'The Artist' takes place in Hollywood, between 1927 and 1932, and focuses on the relationship of an older silent-film star and a rising young actress, as silent cinema falls out of fashion and is replaced by the ‘talkies’.
