The conductor Charles Hazlewood presents a woodwind octet recreating the 'harmonie bands' that once provided the backdrop to any hedonistic summer's afternoon in an eighteenth-century Southbank pleasure garden. (Picnic from 3pm till dusk with music from 4pm. In the case of inclement weather this event may move to Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer. Part of the Chelsea Fringe.)
