The second semi-final of the contest presents Albion Quintet playing Hindemith's Kleine Kammermusik für Funf Blaser, Op 24; Onslow's Blaserquintet in F, Op 81 No 3 (Finale); and Nielsen's Kuintet, Op 43 (Allegro ben moderato). Then, the Mediterranea Trio plays
Beethoven's Piano Trio in B flat, Op 97 ('Archduke' – Allegro moderato); and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No 2 in C minor, Op 66 (Allegro energico e con fuoco). Finally, the Piatti Quartet performs Debussy's Quartet in G minor, Op 10 (Anime et tres decide); and Bridge's 'Three Idylls for string quartet' (Allegretto poco lento).
