The Music of Feliu Gasull

The composer Feliu Gasull (Barcelona, b1959) is known for his development of a unique harmonic language, mastering the complexities of contemporary music with the variety of Mediterranean traditional music. This concert includes works for many different ensembles: Suite for cello and guitar; 'Cançons de Treball' (songs for guitar and traditional voice, inspired by the Spanish popular tradition); Nana de Manuel de Falla; Tres Quarts; and 'Contra-xions' for guitar and chamber orchestra (1996).
