Benjamin Britten's 'War Requiem' is presented by London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Choir and Trinity Boys' Choir under Vladimir Jurowski, with Tatiana Monogarov (soprano), Ian Bostridge (tenor) and Matthias Goerne (baritone). Neville Creed conducts the chamber orchestra.
(Note: When Benjamin Britten saw for himself the damage to the city of Coventry after a wartime bombing raid, he set about writing this piece that he hoped ‘would be remembered longest’ after his own death. No interval.)
