At 1pm the Guildhall New Music Ensemble and Guildhall Jazz Orchestra perform the UK premieres of 'Paris-Dakar' and 'Sonata Per Sei' as well as 'Derwischtanz' and 'Psalm 151 (In memoriam Frank Zappa)'. The afternoon events continue at 3pm with a screening of Eötvös's Chekov-based opera 'Three Sisters', while at 6pm (in the Mozart Room) the composer introduces the evening concert. This starts at 8pm and features Peter Eötvös himself conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Chorus and BBC Singers, with cimbalom soloist Miklós Lukács and clarinettist Richard Hosford. Eötvös's 'zeroPoints'; 'Psychokosmos' (for cimbalom and orchestra); 'Levitation'; and large choral work 'IMA Prayer'.
