Time Out says

Orlando Gough, Royal Opera House Associate Artist, curates this year's annual summer celebration of traditional and contemporary music from a variety of global cultures, with a focus on different singing traditions and the uniqueness of the human voice. Artists include Christian Zehnder, John Tomlinson, Mikhail Karikis, Erika Stucky, Dessi Stefanova, Clare Wilkinson, Manickam Yogeswaran, Phil Minton, Loré Lixemberg, Eska Mtungwazi, Talitha MacKenzie and Melanie Pappenheim. At 2pm the 12 singers take turns performing a capella or with minimal accompaniment. If you fancy a break during this then why not join singer Melanie Pappenheim in the Crush Bar as she MCs a hall-of-mirrors Extreme Karaoke – an aural playground created by composer Dominic Murcott. There are also surprise events in the other front-of-house spaces including an exclusive showing of the dual-screen film 'Turbulent' by artist Shirin Neshat. At 7pm, the evening event, Motor Mouth Music, features a selection of the singers interacting in an experimental session with electronic artist Andrew McDonnell. Expect looping, live sampling, duets, trios, choruses and transformations. (Unreserved standing only.)
