Time Out says

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.

Based in the borough of Hackney, Growing Communities brings people together to support local, organic farmers. They teach people how to grow organic food and run Patchwork Farm – which is made up of 12 different garden sites aroun Hackney, hence the name – and another farm in Dagenham, both of which supply their farmers market and fruit and veg scheme that provides weekly bags of produce locally in exchange for £12-£16.25 per week. Growing Communities is always looking for new volunteers, so if you feel like getting your hands dirty, get in touch with them.

Growing Communities says
We run the UK's only 100%-organic farmers' market. Get the best seasonal produce from our Saturday market from growers in Hackney, Kent, Essex and Cambridge. Join our veg scheme to get your weekly dose of fruit and veg delivered to a collection point near you. And get involved through volunteering.
