This Clapham Junction café, tea house and coffee shop, on St John's Road, is one of two venues of the same name in London. The other is on the South Bank, opposite the Houses of Parliament and close to Lambeth Bridge.

Quality teas and coffee is a focus here, with at least 15 different types of single-origin coffee on offer, as well as their own espresso blend and tea from various global regions. They're served alongside pastries, cakes and cookies (some of which re gluten-free), plus fresh sandwiches and juices.

Discovering a new coffee shop give me the same feeling as buying a new pair of shoes, I just can't wait to see how they look and feel!

Last Sunday (Rainy miserable day in London) looking for decent coffee and to get out of the rain. I remembered reading about this place and thought it was worth a try. Close enough to Clapham Junction station. the first thing my boyfriend noticed was that the communal table was a piano, very cool and unique. haven't seen that before. It was very very busy, but we managed to squeeze into a small slot in the back, once in it was cosy and great but, having to get your own drinks and try to push past the many people is its own kind of obstacle course/gameshow.

I had a flat white (they call a sexy latte, ooh la la) and a cheesecake brownie, Coffee I give 3/5 and brownie 2/5 (I couldn't taste any cheesecake and it was small). The vibe was great and the staff were friendly.

£2.50 for my sexy latte, which is standard really. I would go there again.

I have had both tea and coffee in this place and its very good quality. I love looking at what they sell too; lots of milk alternatives, even coconuts, percolators etc.

My gripes though sadly make this place only 3 stars. The cake is brilliant but at £4.50 a slice for sit in, its pretty steep even though gluten free and fancy. Also the portions are minuscule!

Atmosphere is good and I like the grand piano and sitting round it. :) This is a good place for an interview or a first date.

Monmouth coffee! In Clapham! Not quite as good as La Moka though - not sure why that's not on the list. It's has the best coffee and bacon in London!

Lovely drinks and snacks, in a quirky cosy environment, served by the loveliest people.

Got there by accident and ordered a hot chocolate, I'm hooked ever since. Definitely one of the best hot chocolates in town. A must go for all hot chocolate lovers! + nice atmosphere and staff.

My Favourite coffee house in London. Amazing specialists in coffee and cakes, fantastic selection of teas and very friendly staff.

The staff are very friendly & welcoming. The coffee's & different types of Tea's are amazing. The lovely cakes & many choices of different smoothies & Juices. Just a great place to visit, it's a must.

Great coffee. Vast selection of single origin coffee and loose leaf teassssss. Proper coffee place with gluten free cakes etc. Great service all provided by proper experienced barristas

This tea room is perfect for a pit stop when shopping on Northcote Road. If you’re sick of the classic coffee chains this is a breath of fresh air. An unassuming little café, with a brilliant selection of teas and cakes ( the Chocolate Guinness Cake is amazing!). It has free Wi-Fi which makes it a nice peaceful place to do some work. Prices are quite steep, around £4.80 on average for a piece of cake to eat in. However, the quality of the food is great and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
