28 Well Hung Ltd
Time Out says
The first permanent premises of this environmentally conscious street food crew, who serve British-raised beef, lamb and veggies.
Serving up small-plates steaks, heritage veggies, natural wines & beers and £5 cocktails.
Ethos: We think the only real question is "Is what you're eating produced in ways that regenerates or degenerates the soil?" Regenerative agriculture is one of the most effective solutions to reversing global warming.
Meat: mainly working with Warren's in Cornwall, all our beef is UK native breed meat, grass-fed and finished, from suckler herds. Well-hung - on average for 28 days on the bone.
Veg: mainly native crops suitable for the soil in which they are grown, using low-intensity approaches.
Wines, beers & spirits: using low-intensity approaches to working with the land and managing water.
Grazed and grown to regenerate soil.
Open Tue-Fri 5-11; Sat 12-11; Sun 12-9. Located 10 minutes walk from Nunhead Station and 15 minutes from Peckham Rye, 28 is a cozy 50 seater restaurant and bar that can also be booked out for private hire.
