Time Out says

Bringing grilled cheese to hungry Londoners, gourmet style, since 2016. On Mile End Road – about a two-minute walk from Stepney Green tube – 90 Degree Melt offers up some serious comfort food in the cheesiest fashion.

The menu focuses on tapas style grilled cheese. From ‘The Waldorf Melt’ with cheddar, brie, rocket, apples and caramelised onion to the ‘Harissa Melt’ packed with aubergine, tomatoes, spinach and Harissa paste, bound together with Edam cheese – there’ll definitely be something that tickles your taste buds.

Founder Nidhi Sharma takes inspiration from her mother’s cooking and her time spent in the USA. The menu is simple, but wholesome, and 100 percent vegetarian. There are also options for drinks – both alcoholic and soft – that include a range of champagne cocktails and a small wine selection.

Incredibly keen and friendly service with a nice, bright open dining space comprising about five long rows of tables. I tried two of the melts for a deal of 2 for £6.99. One was a mexican-style toastie listed in Donald Trump's name and the other toastie was a classic tomato and cheese deal. Both were tasty enough, not super special but not greasy either which was an achievement. I enjoyed the food, think it's a great spot to try but as a carnivore it's unlikely that i'll be a daily customer here.

Nice food, very poor service. 30 minutes after ordering our meal we were told that one order was not available. So ordered an alternative waited a further 25 minutes for any of our food to arrive. As a group of three ordering eggs and toast and pancakes none of which came together in a small cafe with around 10 diners it didn’t seem reasonable to have to wait so long. It really ruined our meal and would not go again.

Love this place and so pleased to have a vegetarian/vegan restaurant so close to home. The potato wedges are to die for. Really friendly staff and quick service which is ideal after a day's work and all I wanna do is stuff my face with yummy food.

Very tasty vegetarian food, most can be veganized as well - the wings and the Harissa melts are truly awesome.

The grilled sandwiches are so nice but so expensive for what you get, at £4 for a small sandwich. The cauliflower "wings" were quite crunchy and the potato wedges were quite nice. Overall the food was nice but very over priced.
