A great community cafe made more outstanding as it is an independent in a sea of dull chains. Prices are reasonable and it is a great and truly accessible place for all members of the community to meet. Great exhibitions, friendly staff and a lovely hidden gem of a garden. Truly special.
Blackheath is a beautiful place to visit being even more attractive with the Age Exchange Cafe. The Cafe has a very friendly atmosphere and one can find out about many activities if one wishes to be involved.
Friendly, supportive, environment well used by all ages, local and otherwise. Truly generational as it's name encourages.
A lovely warm place with cozy rooms, charming garden, and great "with love" home made food, not to mention the warmth of the staff and volunteers. Feels like home!
Age is indeed exchanged at this cafe as it caters in fact for all generations - providing a toddlers' corner as well as a socialcentre for seniors.
Age Exchange is a wonderful cafe, great for relaxing with friends and family, young and old with lovely food at inexpensive prices. There is lots for children with the library downstairs and a little corner in the cafe for them to play. It makes a welcome change from chains with no personality and warmth.
The cafe is friendly, cozy, full of real and interesting people and makes delicious and honest food and lovely pots of tea. Mums with young children, pensioners, students and regulars have time to say hello to one another and leav the world out. It is an oasis of loveliness in the heart of Blackheath!
This a cafe with a lovely homely feel, great prices and friendly service. It's used by a wide age-range, from workers using the free wi-fi to school children who come in regularly after school to use the library downstairs, have a snack and do some homework. And it's comfortable and welcoming to people with all disabilities (who frequent it regularly too).
Where else in Blackheath can you get an affordable, good cup of tea and home made food, served with a smile and chat from friendly volunteers
Wonderful food, staff and comfort. Newspapers to read, a library to browse, a beautiful and sunny garden (when it's sunny!) attracting locals and visitors of all ages. A jewel in the village crown.
I love the Age Exchange cafe - it's the secret heart of Blackheath village. The food is simple and not expensive, it's relaxing and the staff are really lovely. The little garden outside is absolutely beautiful.
The food is tasty and modestly priced - and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. A lovely welcoming place to visit on your own or with friends.
First class! Excellent quality, friendly service, great atmosphere and welcoming cafe. And it doesn't cost the earth, a wide range of sensitively priced delicious food.
This cafe has a very friendly atmosphere welcomes all ages and is very popular. The sandwiches and jacket potatoes are excellent and not expensive. There is a delightful garden at the back.
Excellent value for money, friendly volunteer staff who willingly bring tea to the knitting group in studio below!!! Comfortable atmosphere. Really enjoy drinking there.
A very friendly venue run alongside the Blackheath Village library with many volunteers involved. All ages catered for and welcomed. The food is tasty and the atmosphere relaxed. And the proceeds all go to charity!
