Alla Salute!

This Deptford Italian restaurant, aims to transport the authentic, traditional flavours of south-east Italy to the heart of south-east London. Its name comes from the Italian toast, roughly translated as 'cheers!'.

The menu includes a charcuterie sharing platter while mains are unfussy – think pasta served with minced beef, vegetables or organic goat's cheese. It's the pizzas that take centre stage, though - they're proofed for 24 hours, freshly prepared with organic flour and extra virgin olive oil, and served with a choice of 14 topping options. The classic margherita comes with fresh basil, and the piccante with spicy salami, mozzarella, tomato sauce and oregano.

Alla Salute! says
Alla Salute – a trattoria, pizzeria and social – opened in August 2016 to bring you the most amazing traditional dishes, authentic pizzas, hedonistic wines from Puglia (Italy) and craft Italian beers. The focus is on slow-food culture (opposed to fast-food) both from Puglia and Britain.

I'm Italian and I'm truly addicted to this place. It's 100% real Apulian cuisine (minus the shellfish, raw fish... which outside of Puglia is understandably hard to pull off), which in my opinion stands among the best regional cuisines in Italy. The menu strikes the right balance between being focused and varied. All ingredients are of a very high standard, with an attention to small/organic sourcing. I appreciate the fact that they didn't play it safe by offering the usual 3 dishes (pesto, lasagne, bolognese...whatever that is) which represent the comfort zone for non Italians and instead offer real dishes from this region, with ingredients that exist only there. This is the real deal. Highly recommended.

I am Italian and can say that this is a real, 100% Italian restaurant, which is pretty rare in London. The chef cooks like my grandmothers: super delicious, simple, healthy, with excellent ingredients. The chef can also cook more sophisticated meals, but so far my favourites are the typical dishes. The service is super friendly. The atmosphere is cheerful and full of natural light because of the floor to ceiling windows and the garden in front. The place is very good for couples and for families. The location is not close to the high street, nor from the other Greenwich restaurants, however it is located 10 seconds walk from Depford Bridge station, so it is easy to reach. Some favourites: pasta (orecchiette with broccoli, pasta with tomato sauce), tomato meatballs, pizza.

A little off the mainstrip of Greenwich or Deptford high streets but almost next door to Deptford Bridge DLR and right in the middle of a complex of flats, we would definitely recommend a visit to this place..We had a warm welcome and we really enjoyed our meal here, pizzas were excellente!! and the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs

Delicious food, a good selection of wines, warming atmosphere and perfect service. 5 STARS!!!

Great pizza and seafood, right outside my flat. Staff are friendly and gives the whole area a community feeling.

Best pizza in SE13 without a doubt! The atmosphere is homely, warm and welcoming. I went on a Friday and the place was buzzing with plenty of locals. I am not local to the area but the call of pizza is simply too irresistible for me!

Highly recommended.

Lovely local. Honest and fun team cooking up and delivering classic Southern French loveliness.
