Mediterranean cuisine is the name of the game at Alquimia, a relaxed Putney boite with heaps of Spanish kitchen cred. Having honed his skills at a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain, head chef Sergio Ferrari specialises in tapas both hot and cold.
Those tapas options - think boquerones, red tuna tartar, pimientos padron and gambas al ajillo - feature alongside mains including mixed paella, cuttlefish with ink black rice, iberico pork pluma and rabo de toro - caramelised oxtail with cocoa sauce and truffled potatoes.
Keep an eye out for the appropriately extensive Spanish wine list, too.

A little hidden away (is that a bad thing?) in Putney Wharf, but a great place, mostly due to the quality of the food. AMAZING tapas and Spanish dishes. They do specials and a good lunch menu at the weekend. Ask for croquettes or the octopus. Time Out card gets you free wine too!
A very good Spanish restaurant that happens to be in London. Relax environment, great service, high quality Spanish food. I particularly recommend the croquetas and the octopuss. Priced accordingly to the high quality and standards, a real Spanish food treat
