This vegetarian, organic, Italian restaurant on New Oxford Street spot is one of two Amico Bio venues in London - there's another over in Barbican, too. Both branches offer healthy, vegetarian takes on classic Italian dishes, with gluten-free and vegan dishes also featuring prominently. It's the brainchild of head chef and owner, Pasquale Amico, who sources many of the ingredients from his family's farm in Capua, Italy.

I had the mushroom and vegetable burger and it was fantastic. Dense and full of flavour, the fake mozzarella on the burger was almost indistinguishable from mozzarella. The chips were chunky and crispy, the onion rings delicious and the salad crunchy and refreshing.
Very poor experience, food was bland, poorly cooked and in some cases seemed to have been standing around for ages. Salads were wilted, vegetables were overcooked and dried out. Some of the staff tried hard, some just couldn't be bothered. Not cheap either £45 for two with only a glass of wine each.
