A firm Crofton Park family favourite – light, spacious and well-stocked with highchairs and baby-changing facilities – Arlo & Moe rocks a 1950s vibe with colourful Formica tables, Ercol chairs and spotty Midwinter plates. Depending on which children you are sharing the space with, it’s a relaxed and friendly place to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of squishy Guinness and chocolate or spicy carrot cake.
Lunch choices are limited to sausage rolls, sandwiches, frittata, quiche and a few specials such as gazpacho with manchego, olives and garlic bruschetta. We love the ‘sexy toast’ – crunchy sourdough with toppings ranging from cream cheese and honey or avocado and feta to no-nonsense Heinz baked beans. Birthday cakes are also a speciality.
