in the City causes one to go into choice paralysis, therefore I was happy I
finally settled on Baba G's. I had an excellent vegetable curry and a Berlin
craft beer (yes the Germans are finally breaking the mold!) whilst enjoying a
surprisingly mild winter day outdoors.
My only complaint is the portion sizes (esp for a veggie) could have been bigger given the price.
Stopped off at Pop Brixton for a bite on a Sunday night, and was super excited to see Baba G's was open! The Crazy Lamb Jalfrezi burger was the easy choice, having heard the hype – and it was actually better than expectations. Freshly made, the lamb was tender, and well spiced, covered in a creamy sauce with a kick, and sandwiched between a toasted bun with black pepper seeds... It had a good level of heat and was AMAZING. The masala fries topped with the same sauce and mango chutney were also incredible!
Size-wise, the buns themselves are pretty big, and 1 portion of masala fries was enough to share between two of us. They also sell a rather nice Rum and Ginger Fuego, which complements the main event well. Will definitely be going back!
