Please note, Babylon Restaurant has now closed. Time Out Food editors, July 2018.
If you’re dining at Babylon, The Roof Gardens' seventh-floor restaurant, expect breathtaking views across London and a contemporary British menu that’s in keeping with the opulent surroundings.
The seasonal menu is regularly rejigged, with a focus on British produce such as Dingley Dell pork and fillets of Scottish cod. The big draw here, though, is its setting, nestled in 1.5 acres of themed parkland for you to look out on as you chow down.
Still not tempted? There’s usually a jazz evening on Tuesdays and you can take in a nightcap on the outdoor terrace. Sip on one of the concoctions from Babylon's extensive cocktail list, including a silver Lady (a gin sour muddled with celery), or pick from an array of champagne cocktails such as agrodolce symphony, where a Campari and Grand Marnier mix is topped off with some fizz. Yum.
