Bao, Mr Bao, Bao Bao, Lil’ Bow Wow… oh, wait. Well, you could forgive us for being a little confused with all the bun joints popping up in London these days, and this is Croydon’s first piece of the fluffy white steamed pie. The shop specialises in bubble teas alongside a fairly standard menu of bao with accompaniments such as golden kimchi and sesame spinach. If you’re not ready to bao out, try the fried chicken or the classic braised pork with Taiwanese sauerkraut.
