Bella Vita

Time Out says

Bella Vita has been a feature of Broadway Market for some years, but a recent modernisation/refurbishment has changed its look completely. The menu is a lengthy one, with around 25 antipasti and 25 pizzas; vegetarians are particularly well catered for in both selections, nearly half of which are meat-free. Among the nearly 30 pasta dishes and meat or fish main courses, most pasta costs under £10 and few meat and fish dishes rise above £15. Chocolate features prominently in the dessert selection, and if you're coming here with children, they may well fancy 'Shrek & Looney Toons': ice cream served in a 'collectable children's character mug'.

Love this place, outdoor seating, past, fish and meat menu with many gluten free options, that actually taste great - lot of flavour and the portions are really big. Price is reasonable for the area. definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.

Delicious italian food, good wine, friendly stuff and great outdoor seating tables overlooking the beautiful Broadway market! If you fancy good pasta, pizza or risotto, look no further!

Bella vita's menu has something for everyone, I go to Bella vita at least once a week! Every dish i have had has been delicious! Family friendly restaurant.

beautiful staff with best location and great tasteful traditional italian pastas!

Lovely little local (if you're based near Broadway market). Very friendly and intimate, amazing pasta. They do gluten free penne as an option, recommend the Italian sausage & tomato with loads of parmesan. We also shared the green vegetables which was a good compliment to the richness of the pasta. We were both too full for dessert but I want to try the mousse or creme brûlée next time. If you were to order off the specials board you'd probably be looking at £20 for 3 courses - perfect if you don't want to spend a fortune but looking for atmosphere and good Italian food.

Dude, I eat hear at least once a week. It is alway tasty and the service is great.

Super friendly staff, great food at a great price, love the outside tables in the summer and they can always accommodate you!

Consistently good - the specials are super, got my fussy kid to try something new, huzzah!

Shocking service, staff rude, food was ok, food took 35 mins to arrive and it was very quiet while we were in there

If you are craving Italian, and want something slightly more authentic than the endless Prezzos or Pizza Expresses, head to Broadway Market for Italian food that tastes like your Nonna made it (if you have an Italian grandmother, that is).

Expect a warm, Italian feeling when you enter the newly refurbished Bella Vita. The friendly staff make you feel like one of the family in the cosy yet stylish restaurant. The menu is extensive, with a huge variety of pizzas with delicious and inventive toppings (I’m talking avocado, aubergine, chips!) and it took myself a lot longer than usual to pick, especially when you throw into the mix a specials board which uses fresh, seasonal ingredients. Top Tip; order a sharing antipasto board to keep your hunger at bay as you try to decide; salty cured meats, fresh olives and crusty bread always make a decision easier.

My lobster linguine was very good, and although the lobster was slightly overcooked, what really shone through was the chef’s understanding of simple Italian cooking; the pasta, which was just cooked with chilli, garlic, lemon and cherry tomatoes, was so delicious, I could have eaten a whole barrel of it. The lamb ragu was also beautiful, rich, hearty with melt-in-your- mouth tender meat. The deserts are chocolate heavy, and I have regret for not trying Nonna’s Tart of the Day, which I think would be fresher than the profiteroles I chose, which filled a whole but were nothing special.

With a bottle of wine between two (again, a great selection!) and three courses, it came to just over £35 per person, which I feel is really reasonable for what was a delicious meal, in a lovely setting with dishes that brought a true taste of Italy to Broadway Market. Definitely book, as this little gem gets filled up quickly, especially on the weekends. Buon Appetito!

Love this place , the manager & staff are lovely, great atmosphere + food is yummy & good deals on lunch time menu etc extra special on a sunny day

Gorgeous, fresh Italian food and great service. This restaurant is also nicely decorated and the perfect place to go on a warm day as the windows slide away for an open air dining experience on the lively broadway market.

This place is a Broadway Market original - and it's always buzzing. They recently had the place extended and refurbished and it looks amazing - glass doors open up to allow the restaurant to spill out on the street which makes for glorious al fresco dining. The food never lets me down - hearty Italian fare done authentically. Watch out for the early weeknight offers of up to 30% discount. You don’t have to order a full blown meal here either, sitting outside with an antipasti platter and an Aperol spritz is perfectly satisfying. Great spot to enjoy on a Saturday to watch the hustle and bustle of the market.

Ordered two seafood 'spaghetti mares' on a Tuesday and we both got bad upset stomachs. Complained to the restaurant but they were rude and wouldn't take responsibility.
