Although Bill’s is starting to feel a little dated now, this particular branch in Hammersmith is really nicely done and is by far my favourite.

There’s good spacing between the tables and loads of light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of this modern build.

It has a homely and welcoming feel to it.

Service is friendly and attentive and our brunch on a Sunday morning was excellent and very chilled out. We could've sat there for hours.

Thankfully it’s away from the main strip of Hammersmith Broadway and nestled next to the Circle Line entrance to the tube which keeps it quite well hidden so it doesn’t seem to get too busy as a result- unlike it’s closest neighbour in High Street Kensington station, which is consistently rammed.

One note though - they should probably get someone with neater handwriting to write the signs, as they’re pretty illegible!

Went yesterday evening for a dinner with my friend. The sandwiches were FREEZY. Terrible.

I would not recommend it to anyone.

With several locations around town, Bill’s is to me a safe spot with decent food for good value. Their lunch set menu has a honest price for what you get, specially considering that pleasant environment of the restaurants. If you go for it, I strongly recommend the warm doughnuts with chocolate, served warm with a rich, dark chocolate sauce to dip the little pieces of Heaven in.
