A really nice restaurant, part of the Bill's nationwide chain. Although it was started by an Englishman, this place has a feel of the American South.

We visited as part of the 2017 "Pancake Party" and although there wasn't much party about it, the pancakes were great. Thick but soft and flavoursome with some delicious toppings. My partner, daughter and I tried all three and I have to say the resounding favourite was the simplest - with just salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. Yum yum!

The waitress was lovely and really made my daughter's night by making her feel like a little Princess. The glass of prosecco with the pancakes was a nice touch too!

Prices are about average but the servings are huge making it pretty good value for money. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just dessert... You can always find some hearty grub at Bill's!

This is the latest Bill's visit I’ve had in recent weeks that has been really disappointing. It feels like the brand has been recently sold as service and food standard have dipped significantly.

At the Hoxton branch we were not greeted quickly and certainly not made to feel like valued customers - the staff are more interested in chatting loudly to each other than looking after you.

The food is also starting to feel quiet staid and no longer as fresh and exciting as when Bill's first launched.

Relatively speaking they’re not that cheap either, so I certainly can’t find enough reasons to head back in a hurry, especially not to this one.

Lovely food and a good choice. The food is cooked really well and the service is fine and friendly, albeit a little slow at times. Their mac and cheese is delicious, but I wouldn't order the ribs again. Their mezze type plates are also lovely.
