In September 2014 Brady's opened a new bar with views over the river. The bar provides drinks for the restaurant but also has table seating (no reservations) and serves shellfish raw, cured, and cooked. The Time Out Food and Drink Editors

In its new premises by the waterfront just south of Wandsworth Bridge, Brady’s has created a bright, airy, maritime-themed space both indoors and out. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over patio decking, and it just needs a wheeling seagull or two to transport diners to the seaside.

The fish on offer is good quality: simply grilled sea bream had soft, succulent flesh, crisp skin and was superbly fresh. Battered cod was firm and flaky with the lightest, crunchiest of batters. Starters – beetroot-dressed smoked salmon, prawn cocktail in a sundae glass, served with brown bread and butter – proved solid, retro fare. Chips are uniform in cut and far from thrice-cooked, but fluffy and crunchy all the same. Sauces – an entire collection of creamy, fresh-herbed jarfuls are presented at each table – are a plus.

Puds run from crumbles to light, milky ices. This new incarnation is spanking clean and bright, with a welcoming bar (try a pint of Shepherd Neame Spitfire), and good value at all levels.

Brady's says
We make our own potted shrimps and salmon fishcakes and our homemade honeycomb ice cream is to die for! Fresh fish straight up from Cornwall is so fresh the fish almost dances on the plate for you.

The fish we get changes all the time due to weather, tides and time of year.

We live on an island surrounded by some of the best fish in the world so let’s celebrate our oysters from the east coast, our mussels, cod, haddock and saithe from the north, and our scallops, flat fish and crabs from Cornwall.

We  ordered a few plates of seafood washed down with a dark and stormy which is a Kracken rum with ginger ale cocktail. We started off with huge oysters with 3 diff types of dressing. Then a plate of peeled tiger prawns served with a dip

Ate at the old place once, and didn't rate it al all. Small portions and relatively ordinary food, and expensive. Much preferred going to Maria's in Battersea where portions large and always fresh. Went to the new venue and it was a little like night vs day: more food and fresher and tastier; nice bright venue. Wanted to sit outside in the sun and warmth and saw (and spoke-to) Arsene Wenger who was going by. Servings were large and beer fresh. Still pricey compared to a take-away, but good val for a good, fresh and tasty sit-down. I recommend +++++++++

A firm favourite - have been many many times over the years and it never disappoints. The new venue is stunning, and the bar area a real plus. A wonderfully laid back atmosphere to enjoy a hearty meal with friends. The food is always delicious; such a simple, classic concept executed brilliantly! We will continue to return for as long as its open!

Disappointing, really a glorified chip pie. Grilled fish was small, salad poor. Sharing condiments is not good as they are taken from you before you have finished. Service a bit chaotic. Will not return.

Great fish and chips!!!! Been here a few times now with friends and enjoyed it every time.

Fish here fresh & batter not oily with a good variety of condiments ie ketchup dill and tartare sauce but problem is some guests dip their forks into the condiment containers which is a bit selfish. Owners do not seem to notice, service very friendly

Never had better fish & chips in London. Fresh fish, gorgeous fries a great mix of sauces served directly by the boss. On my next vacation in London I will enjoy again in that nice restaurant. Phillip from Austria

Just had cod and chips from here, cost £20 for two and was very poor quality. Fish was tiny and really dry; definitely not worth the money. If you want good fish and chips go to Fishworks on St Johns Hill.

I have eaten at Brady's many times as I used to live near by. It was the place my husband and I chose to eat on our firs valentines day together and even though we live in North London now we make an annual pilgrimage back to Brady's on Feb 14th. We have never been disappointed with the food here.
