This south London wine bar and brasserie set in a refurbished English boozer is managed by a couple of French brothers - maitre d', Nolan, and head chef, Florent. There's a certain pedigree to it too, with the pair's parents running the long-standing Lobster Pot, just down the road.
Live music upstairs, in the Piano Bar, plays an important part in evenings here. Expect jazz quartets, soul soloists, vocal harmonies and even a bit of funk alongside open-mic sessions and nights dedicated to the musicals of the West End.
The ground-floor brasserie serves rustic French fare. Expect pan-fried chicken livers, terrines of foie gras, vegetarian croustades, moules marinière and cassoulets served for two. There's also a smoking terrace, a private dining room, free WiFi and newspapers, should you fancy a lounge.
The venue is rapidly becoming one of London's finest live music venues

Amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, music, staff...it's a little gem and it's never over-run...so many great memories from here with loved ones !
This is a delightful spot serving great classic bistro food at modest prices. Cosy ambiance, location near the Tube, and friendly staff. Bon appetit!
This is a fabulous French restaurant who support and programme live music most nights of the week, in their beautiful, three-floored venue...including a wonderful LOFT space for larger gigs and parties.
The food is fantastic! The live music venue upstairs is one of a kind in London providing a venue for London's finest artists established and up and coming artists to perform and grow.. D'Casio Singer Songwriter Soulful Musician www.dcasio.com
Great venue, friendly, amazing food, lovely atmosphere, a choice of places to watch great acts within venue itself, very rare these days. Free music on Mondays and musicians playing every night of the week!
This is a wonderful gem of a place. Great Food, Atmosphere, cabaret , live music - What more could you want !
A little gem in the heart of Kennington, serving up an amazing French menu and an incredible music line-up.
Fantastic food and and loads of great entertainment both in their Loft space and on the first floor, especially if you like jazz, but other kinds of music too.
Fantastic atmosphere, quirky location, good food and great jazz. Just what is needed in Kennington and a great family run affair.
Great food, amazing atmosphere, lovely staff and the live music every night makes this place just perfect.
What a fantastic venue!! Very friendly, great variety of music, tasty French nosh... No doubt they have my vote :)
I think this is a lovely venue. I mainly go there to watch the jazz, particularly on a Monday night, when one of the best jazz bands in the country play-and I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of jazz gigs in my life. There is a guest musician each week who is from the top flight of London based jazz. Lovely beer from Belgium, and a great friendly atmosphere.
This wonderful live music venue and restaurant is a hidden gem in London, keeping live music alive every night of the week and providing an amazing place for creatives to work in, with great staff and atmosphere!
An independent Brasserie who are working hard to support live music and doing a very good job at it!

Beautiful food, a lovely cosy restaurant which feels special without being outrageous on your pocket. Does an excellent brunch!
This has been our favourite local restaurant ever since it opened. It is authentically French (we can vouch for that, as we have a house in France), excellent value for money, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Well done boys!
An authentic piece of Brittany in the heart of south London - no bogus accents and the best seafood around. Go and lose yourself for a few hours - you won't regret the experience.
I always look forward to a meal in the brilliant Brasserie Toulouse Lautrec & Jazz Bar , superb food , fabulous wine brilliant music creating perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening .... don't miss out , go there !
Nolan, Florin, Oliver, Deborah and all the team at BTL give such a warm welcome, I feel right at home returning there week after week for consistently great music, food, atmosphere and hospitality! One of London's hidden treasures, come join the party!
Toulouse Lautrec is a little gem in so many ways. It really does provide you with everything....from great breakfasts (fresh pastries, juice, eggs, salmon etc) to fantastic French cuisine in the evening in such a gorgeous authentic setting....not only that but you get serenaded with jazz too! There is also a separate bar/cocktail space and a typically French cabaret room (think little tables, red candles, bar food). I have eaten here, drank here and performed here. My only wish was that I had discovered this place sooner.
Really good restaurant, awesome atmosphere, lovely staff and the venue is so amazing! Was about to give it 4 stars (but gave it 5, 'cause you know... I can...) because it can be hard to get a table, especially with no booking...
What a great find. Half way between Kennington and Elephant and Castle is not where I expected to uncover a French Brasserie with a a jazz bar on the first floor and a full gig venue above. This has to be a bit of a strange review as I went to have a look at it as a venue. I therefore have not tasted the food or heard the jazz, but I can see from others this place delivers.
I will return for the full experience - and yes ...... we will be booking the venue on the third floor. It looks great , with fun bar, star-cloth, grande piano and super sound system. Love it !
