Burger & Lobster Bread Street
Venue says Simply the best burger and lobster in town. See our Facebook page for the latest news and updates.

This City branch of Burger & Lobster functions as a drinking spot as well as a restaurant, with comfy, backed-stools lined up against the bar and more intimate booths and tables throughout the rest of the place.

Born from the minds of four schoolmates on a rooftop in London, this restaurant chain grew from a pop-up in a Mayfair boozer to ten branches London-wide, and more to boot around the the world.

In case the name isn't enough of a hint, these guys specialise in lobsters and burgers. It might come across gimmicky, but ignore that initial impression because if you're after good lobster, you'd be hard pressed to find it at better value for money than here. You can get a lobster (boiled, grilled or in a brioche roll with mayo) with a substantial salad and french fries for £23-£31, depending on how you have it and which branch you're in. For a smaller budget, the beef burgers will set you back £16.

Burger & Lobster Bread Street says
The Burger:
To make a great burger you have to start with great beef. Our Angus beef is 'Best in Class' from Nebraska. Our beef, which is three parts of the bull blended, is full of flavour.
The next step: the grill-master. Our burgers are grilled and cooked to perfection. This is something we worked really hard to achieve and our grill-masters take very seriously. Our open flame grilling adds another layer of B&L goodness. Combined with our seasoning, specialty sauce, toppings and classic bun, this is a burger for the books! The end result is a burger that has received a tremendous amount of love made for you.

The Lobster:
The Journey of our lobsters starts in Nova Scotia, where the waters are deep and the lobsters are flavourful. Regardless of what Burger & Lobster location you are at, lobsters are flow in throughout the week to provide optimal freshness. Each B&L location hosts the lobsters in one of the most technologically advanced lobster holding systems, aka The Lobster Spa. This stress-free environment that mimics the ocean allows the lobster to maintain its flavour. Whether you are a grilled-lobster person or boiled-lobster person we do not discriminate and we do both exceptionally! You will find our fresh lobster to be one of the most juicy and flavourful you ever had.

You can't go wrong with just three different options on the menu.  It's either lobster, lobster roll, or a burger.  I haven't been in a while and didn't realise the prices had gone up.  The grilled lobster seemed smaller than what I remember and more expensive.  It's still good with the butter sauce, with a side of salad and fries.  Venue is wheelchair accessible and service good, but we weren't offered one of their infamous bibs.  Nothing really bad to say except I could have done with more lobster!  Still quite busy for a Wednesday night, so it's still a popular venue.  You'd probably be more impressed if it was your first time, but I've been so many times now, it's nothing special and just ok for me.

The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night but we only waited 10-15 minutes, at the bar with a drink, before a table became available. Service was prompt, there was no food menu (as there are only three items to choose from). We both had the grilled lobster with garlic lemon butter, everything comes with a side of fries and salad. Lobster was very tasty and, I think, you'd struggle to get a lobster elsewhere in London for this price! I would definitely recommend a visit!
