Burger & Lobster Leicester Square

Time Out says

Please note, Burger and Lobster’s menu is now full a la carte and prices have changed. Time Out Food editors, January 2018.

This Leicester Square branch of Burger & Lobster is set over two floors and swishly laid out, with plump red banquettes to effuse its proximity to China Town.

Born from the minds of four schoolmates on a rooftop in London, this restaurant chain grew from a pop-up in a Mayfair boozer to ten branches London-wide, and more to boot around the the world.

In case the name isn't enough of a hint, these guys specialise in lobsters and burgers. It might come across gimmicky, but ignore that initial impression because if you're after good lobster, you'd be hard pressed to find it at better value for money than here. You can get a lobster (boiled, grilled or in a brioche roll with mayo) with a substantial salad and french fries for £23-£31, depending on how you have it and which branch you're in. For a smaller budget, the beef burgers will set you back £16.

its a good concept, but there are so many now in london, its nothing original but the food was good i thought! its very touristy!!

I have been to the restaurant a few times, unfortunately my recent visit to the Leicester Square branch has left me with a BAD taste of the restaurant and it's management. I went with my wife and son for dinner, and my son travelled separately by underground. My wife and I arrived first, but unfortunately my son was delayed due to disruption to the underground service. The restaurant front desk staff and manager refused to sit us at the table as my son had not arrived yet. We were sat at the bar and was refused a table despite going ahead with ordering a bottle of Champagne and a couple of starters. When we spoke to the manager, she says that's how it is and conveyed that she could not care less. When my son arrived 15 mins later, there were no more tables available in the main dining area. The manager and front desk staff could not care less. I am certainly not going to spend my hard earn money on such an arrogant establishment and snobby staff. I paid the bill and went to a much better restaurant locally. Unfortunately, it is the last time I will be visiting this place and will be warning others as well. I'll be back... NOT!
