Happened across this cafe by chance and really enjoyed the food provided. It’s pretty cheap by today’s standards and he milkshake definitely improved my day.

It’s a classic cafe with breakfast options fully covered and a few extras like lasagne, chilli and jacket potato.

May be the smallest place and on certain Sundays after 9am you have to queue, but it's always so worth it. I always felt like at home, there was this lady that even knew what I wanted every time, super friendly staff and great English breakfasts for everyone. And they're best decision was to add pancakes to the menu a few years back

Lovely breakfast place in east London at a corner of Bethnal Green Road very close to the tube station. Friendly stuff, great flavours and most importantly in a budget! The place is nothing wow but the full english breakfast with coffee/tea in about a fiver in comparison with the friendly service makes it worth visiting! Of course they do some other alternatives to english with additions such as haloumi and they also do some yummy pancakes. Highly recommended breakfast place.

I’ve walked past Cafe 338 on Bethnal Green Road many times but always ended up going to nearby E. Pellicci if I was wanting a fry up. Seeing as E. Pellicci is closed on Sundays, I ended up trying Cafe 338 for the first time last Sunday.

The staff were so friendly and didn’t make you feel rushed even though it’s quite a small restaurant, and it was filling up by 9:00. They offer many variations on the traditional english breakfast, including about five or six vegetarian versions. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and we were not disappointed when our meal arrived. It was fantastic value (under £10 for two breakfasts and two hot drinks,) it didn’t taste too greasy and as an added bonus, the presentation was nice. I will definitely be coming back, and not just on Sundays.
