Time Out says

This East Dulwich café and kitchen was the brainchild of two local residents: one is an accountant and the other an actor. If we defer to stereotypes, it should be a complementary combo.

Breakfasts and lunches prove popular. Expect dishes such as garlic Portobello mushrooms with truffle oil on toast and smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill on a poppy seed roll on the breakfast menu and club sandwiches, huevos rancheros, toasties and a salad of roasted butternut squash with goat's cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, pomegranate and pine nuts.

Bar nights and supper clubs also feature.

G cafe is a charming little cafe just in East Dulwich that is child friendly and does a good brunch until 12:30. Its associated with gymboree so they really consider the needs of young families and children with high chairs, little toys and activities and offer even free babyccinos for kids. There is a jukebox too. Right opposite Peckham Rye park and close to East Dulwich High Street this provides the ideal location if you are looking for brunch stop locally in the area. I had the smashed chilli avocado and poached eggs on toast and their carrot cake was delicious. The tea provided is fairly generous as well.

A great café, right on the beautiful and expansive Peckham Common. The coffee's good and the sausage rolls are very tasty. G also has a selection of craft beers by the bottle and a more extensive food selection too. It's quite expensive, which is the only reason for my 4*s in lieu of 5. It's family friendly and there are myriad children's toys and games to occupy both infants and toddlers.

Friendly warm inviting and spacious. Excellent customer service - food fresh and good access

Love the place and the hospitality, lovely food and awesome staff. Charlotte you are a super star

I love Cafe G. The staff are always so friendly, the breads and pastries are the best of the best from the local area, they have a big gated area so dogs and children can roam around without fear that they'll wander out into traffic. And they make one great cappuccino. The introduction of the coffee card was a particular favourite moment for me...that and the huevos rancheros. I practically live here with my toddler and so while there are admittedly many excellent local ED cafes, this is the one closest to my heart and its where my vote goes.

I love this venue as its full of great energy, lovely staff great coffee and fantastic vegetarian options ! the café has the most stunning view across the glorious Peckham Rye park. I give this café a 10/10 .

It's in such a great location, so you can watch the weather go by on the Rye. The staff are really friendly, especially with children and the food is great.

Great place coffee quick bite, if can ignore multitude kids and road...great out look of peckham rye common

Love it here, I bring the kids, the work laptop and friends (not all at once!) and always enjoy the food, drinks and service. Can recommend to all 😁

I love the view and the relaxed vibe. Can sit here for a long time which I am sure is not good for business!
