I was in two minds between giving this place a 3 star or a 4 star award. I chose 4 (because I rounded up), when really it's probably a 3.5. The reasons for not awarding the full five stars is mainly due to the price. I understand that this is a, adorably quirky little cafe, right on the canal in Camden, but when you pop out for lunch and a small (and I mean small) smoothie plus a mushroom burger weighs in at nearly £20, it's something that needs to be noted.

The smoothie was however, very tasty. For something that good to be vegan, I was super surprised. The burger was equally as good. I opted to add some avocado and vegan cheese on top. Avocado - great idea, vegan cheese - not so great. But who was I kidding, vegan cheese is still miles from where it needs to be in terms of flavour... but that's a discussion for somewhere else!

The views of this little cafe are lovely. If you can get a seat in the window, you can look right over the canal. Looking slightly further afield wouldn't be advised right now due to all the building works and scaffolding, but that cafe cannot help this.

Also something of note: When I went a couple of weeks ago their card machine wasn't working, and it's a little bit of a walk back into the market to get to a cash point. I've not been back since, but might be worth bearing this in mind if you do visit.

I was appalled by the staff's rudeness. They waited for me to order and then showed annoyance at the fact that I had a buggy ("This cannot be here"). The order took ages and turned out to be extremely small (and therefore shockingly overpriced).

When I complained to the manager about the staff's rudeness, she accused me of harassing her staff (!) and replied with "That's enough!". I don't think it even crossed on her mind that that sort of reply to a customer is in itself extremely rude!

I had excellent food here a few weeks ago. Is it expensive? Yes, hence I dinked a star.

I got a Green Smoothie for starters, a bit small but deliciously creamy with the avo and very well blended.

I also got two starters: the polenta with mushrooms in a tomato sauce and the kale and cabbage salad. I was impressed how tasty and very soft the polenta was. The salad impressed me as well with a great dressing.

Finally, I got the butternut squash curry special which wasn't spicy at all but very flavorful. A good-sized serving as well.
