A Kilburn pizzeria and Italian restaurant, specialising in handmade pizzas cooked in their forno a legna - an authentic wood-fired oven. It's a family affair here too, so expect a suitably welcoming Italian welcome.

Those pizzas keep things traditional, so options range from margheritas, capricciosas and rusticas to calzones, al pomodoris, diavolas and a bandiera - a flag-shaped pizza folded with cheese, ham, mushroom, goat's cheese, tomato sauce, parma ham, rocket and parmesan. You can create your own pizzas, too.

Pasta also proves popular, with various shapes mixed with sauces such as arrabiata, quattro formaggi, carbonara, bolognese and vongole - here made with Scottish clams. Risottos, veal steaks, salads and a selection of antipasti complete the offer.

Expect a wine list focused firmly on bottles from Italy, alongside beers less dedicated to the boot.

I have to disagree with Martins comments below. Every time I have visited, the service has been impeccable and very willing to tend to our every request. The Pizza was fresh and rustic - I had the Vesuvio which was mouth watering and had so much flavour to say the least Fair enough, maybe the restaurant wasn't the busiest, around half full.... but then, what do you expect for a Tuesday evening! I would have no qualms about recommending Casareccia to friends for a nice mid week meal or even a birthday meal at the weekend! Italian food at its best!

Most wonderful experience, the food is superlicious and staff are warm and welcoming. There aren't many better eateries in the surounding area.

Booked Casareccia restaurant via Top table for dinner for 2 at 6pm before a great Tricycle Theatre visit for my birthday and arrived on time to an indifferent welcome. Was shown to table for 4 and given the menu and then a man told us we could not sit there and showed us to an uncleared table for 6? We said we only are 2 and he pulled the table a few inches from the table for 4 and said we could sit here or a table for 2 in front of the entrance door on a cold early evening. We protested as the restaurant was 75% empty. He shrugged his shoulders so we said we would leave and he just let us go. I was unimpressed with this grubby premises and grubby reception Had a very pleasantly meal in the Tricycle Theatre for £7 what a steal! Don't bother with Casareccia

This little restaurant is a newly discovered gem for us. As we are new in the area we tough we'll go for a walk one night to see what is there around, as we were passing by Casareccia we saw that people were coming in from the tricycle next door, so we decided to give it a try. My wife ordered seafood risotto while I had a flag shaped pizza which was absolutely amazing as well as my wife's risotto. We went out for a cigaret after our meal on that little terrace wright outside the restaurant, but the chairs were wet because it was raining so we were standing there and just as we lit our cigarets the waitress is coming out to dry our chairs and to give us a cushion to sit on, we were absolutely amazed how did she even noticed. Amazing restaurant and very welcoming staff, looking forward coming back and definitely looking forward to enjoy my summer nights on that lovely little terrace. Casareccia thumb ups for your food quality and your service. :)
