Château Dessert

A Chiswick café-cum-shop specialising in attractive patisserie

It seems like there's a pretty good marriage of form and function at this coffee and cake shop on Chiswick High Road - the striking, almost-too-pretty-to-eat desserts prove something of a draw for the sweet-toothed of west London.

They really do look the part, with fancy takes on traditional desserts alongside intricate petit fours, colourful macarons and baklawa made by a specialist with more than 60 years expertise - he should know what he's doing by now. Afternoon tea proves popular, too.

It's not all pretty patisserie, though. Coffee does brisk business at breakfast and savoury options include tarts, quiches and good-looking sandwiches such as British beef and gherkin with mustard mayo, or butter-fried chicken with aubergine sauce, parmesan mayo and greens.

Gluten-free and dairy-free items are available, too.

My go to desert place in Chiswick - delicious, beautiful cakes and very friendly staff who are always friendly and willing to provide advice if needed. You definitely won't be disappointed!

I came across this delightful life café in Chiswick by accident after looking for another place that had closed down. I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign outside stating they had a large range of gluten free desserts and once inside immediately asked what was on offer. The lady behind the counter presented a whole section which was dedicated to Gluten free (at least to different cakes to choose from plus Macaroons). Feeling quite overwhelmed my boyfriend and I decided to try a Raspberry and Pomegranate cake slice to share (portions were very generous) and took away 2 other dessert cake slices; pistachio and chocolate and chocolate and orange. Although the cakes/desserts were a bit on the higher priced side (£3.75 to take away and over £4.00 to eat in) we felt it was still justifiable as the quality and choice on offer was great

As a coeliac, Chateau dessert gives even me the tastiest desserts to enjoy! So happy to be able to go with friends and leave feeling just as satisfied as them, something a lot of other Cafes cannot offer me. Thank you CD!

I adore the food here! If you have a sweet tooth then Chateau Dessert is definitely the place for you. Lovely stuff and a pretty venue!

Excellent service great desserts and high-quality coffee. Always welcomed with a smile makes my day.
