This Stoke Newington café and coffeeshop should be a chummy place – it takes some of its name from the cockney rhyming slang for 'mate'. It looks like a trendy spot, with a design-led feel to decor, cutlery, kit and cups.
Coffee plays the lead here, with guest roasts from various roasters – think Square Mile, Dark Arts, Workshop and Assembly Roast. Expect to see the list change regularly, too.
There's a vegetarian/vegan slant to the food menu, with houmous, avocado and tahini sandwiches, vegan and gluten-free double chocolate cupcakes, waffles and vegan banana cake the kinds of thing to expect.
